Inspired by a description of the ingredients used in creating the favourite snuff of Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz, wife of George III.
Queen Charlotte was an inveterate snuff taker and historical records tell us that her favourite was flavoured with Bitter Almonds, Attar Ghul - the Persian for Attar of Roses, and that Ambergris was added to enhance the flavours.
Roslein is a moist, demi gros snuff made from Sumatra leaf flavoured with pure attar of roses from Isparta in Turkey, ameretto di saronno lazzaroni from Italy and ambergris from the Chatham Isles.
NB: As with any natural tobacco product, artisan nasal snuff can be susceptible to mould if it is not stored correctly. All of our snuffs are heat treated before packing to ensure an indefinite shelf-life whilst in the original, unopened containers. Our snuffs are traditionally made without chemical preservatives and we recommend that once opened the snuffs should be kept in the tightly closed brand container and stored in a refrigerator. Only decant using a clean, dry implement. Please hit the Write a Review button below and let us know what you think. This really helps fellow enthusiasts choose.

Quality snuff
I have found a new favorite snuff in the Walter Scott's Roslein. Deep and mysterious long lasting scent. Mild nicotine effect.
