This snuff is slightly moist with an easy, medium-fine grind, and has a pronounced initial burn followed by a great cooling sensation that feels very different than menthol. It then has a perfectly balanced, sweetish aftertaste that seems to linger as long as the peppermint like cooling sensation.
This has a darker character than some other mint flavored snuffs, along with a slightly woody and earthy undertone beneath the mint that keeps the base flavor and sweetness from becoming cloying or insipid. This also gives the snuff considerable depth and character.
Nicotine seems to be on the high side for Toque's non-Toast snuffs. I can imagine it going extremely well up in the mountains on a cool summer evening. Very highly recommended.
